How long will my roof or shingles last in Oklahoma?
The length of life depends on the type of material as well as the climate. In Oklahoma the weather can be quite harsh, but since we use high quality roofing products and materials, our roofs and the shingles we install are able to withstand the harsh weather very well. Warranties for the shingles range from 25 years to life, depending on the manufacturer, model, design, size, and material used. Simply put, the longevity of your roof will depend on many different factors and it is hard to estimate without great detail in exactly what type of roof is being installed. The average asphalt shingle life in Oklahoma is 15 years.
I received several roofing estimates from companies around Tulsa – and they all have different pricing…
If one estimate seems much lower than the others and it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Many fly-by-night contractors’ below-cost bids seem attractive, but these contractors often are uninsured and perform substandard work. If an estimate is confusing, ask the contractor to break down the estimate into items/terms you can understand.
